Sustainable Design

Creating environmentally responsible design focused on energy efficiency, facility life-cycle benefits and long-term value

What started 40 years ago as a common-sense approach to responsible design has evolved into a defined process that incorporates sustainable principles, LEED certification planning and a growing number of LEED accredited professionals. SFS uses workshops to evaluate all opportunities for sustainability with project stakeholders and

determine which are appropriate, continuing this dialogue as decisions arise that impact facility life-cycle costs. Whether or not a client pursues LEED certification, our commitment to creating an environmentally friendly facility is reflected in all facets of the building design.
