NOAA IDIQ Contract
Quality A/E services for NOAA facilities, delivered through federal IDIQ contract
Challenge
Deliver quality A/E services for NOAA facilities nationwide to respond to a wide range of project needs and design objectives.
Process
Working under a five-year national indefinite delivery/indefinite quantities (IDIQ) contract, our team coordinated with NOAA representatives at various agency facilities across the country to identify and implement project goals, gaining in-depth knowledge of NOAA guidelines, expectations and unique environmental conditions.
Solution
Our work on NOAA facilities has encompassed project management, programming, planning, design, condition surveys, commissioning, cost estimating and construction management. Example projects include: design and prepare renderings of installation of a Radome to support balloon launches (Albany, NY); develop design criteria for a design-build contract for a National Weather Service/Weather Service Office and Upper Air Inflation Shelter (Barrow, AK); inspect and evaluate a facility that NOAA is considering for the relocation of the National Geodetic Survey facility (Suffolk, VA); and serve as Owner’s Representative during design and construction of the National Water Center at the University of Alabama.
