Pleasant Hill Aquatic Park
Transformation of an indoor aquatic center into an outdoor aquatic park with modern-day amenities
Develop an economical and sustainable solution for replacing the existing indoor aquatic center.
Working collaboratively with city leaders, the community and prime consultant Larkin/Lamp Rynearson & Associates, studied options for a new outdoor aquatic park, developed a master plan based on preffered option and supported the community’s efforts to pass a refendum to finance the project.
A new and exciting water park replacing the outdated indoor aquatic center was designed. Water park features include a 25-yard pool with zero-depth entry, floatables and diving boards along with a sprayground, water slide and runout, shade structures and bathhouse. Shade structures incorporate steel beams from the existing building.
