Erik has deep Finnish and Danish roots, with half of his family from and currently living in Denmark. Through that connection, Erik has been highly influenced by Mid-century modern design. Experiencing different cultures and environments is something he highly values, so whenever the opportunity arises Erik travels to different countries and landscapes. When not traveling, he spends much of his free time designing and building handmade furniture using traditional woodworking techniques, as well as making many sculptural objects out of wood, ceramics and metal.
