Create a modern country club that provides a sophisticated, relaxing environment with leisure and recreation amenities for its current and future members and guests.

SFS, working with Westport Pools and McCown Gordon Construction, collaborated with country club management to identify design goals and desired amenities to retain existing members and attract new members.

Completed using design-build delivery, the Clayview Country Club includes a new clubhouse, aquatic center and tennis facilities. The clubhouse provides an entry/reception desk, wellness area, group exercise area, manager’s office, pro shop, lounge, lockers/showers, and family changing and staff work stations. The aquatic center includes an eight-lane, 25-meter competition pool, a diving well, toddler area, spray grounds, concessions and a showers/changing area. The site’s severe topography led designers to incorporate a terraced grassy viewing area for spectators watching swim competitions, adding value to the facility design while decreasing costs.
