GSA Spatial Data Management

GSA Regions 1, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 11

Accurately measure federally occupied space in GSA facilities for inventory and analysis

Challenge

Accurately measure federally occupied space in GSA facilities and capture building information to be inventoried, maintained and accessible through a dynamic web interface.

Process

Under an indefinite delivery indefinite quantities (IDIQ) contract, our team works in coordination with the GSA to measure designated facilities in six GSA regions nationally to measure, collect and maintain data in a manner that maximizes its value.

Solution

To date, SFS has provided SDM services for over 30 million square feet of facility space and documented many federal centers that include more than 20 buildings and up to 2.5 million SF per center, including site analysis and site conditions documentation. Building types vary from low-rise simple buildings to high rise buildings and from complex historical buildings to federal warehouse facilities. All space is physically verified with the latest technology, inventoried and maintained through a dynamic web accessible site. SFS is anticipated to provide SDM services and facility evaluations for 21 facilities in the Washington, DC, area including the White House West Wing & East Wing.
