Kerry Newman

Principal

Public architecture has been the focus of Kerry Newman’s 26-year career, and it shows in his designs: facilities that emphasize end-user experience and integrate sustainable design principles to provide greatest lifetime value for the community. Municipal and federal government clients know Kerry for his sincerity, exceptional service, and expertise in informing local stakeholders to enhance project outcomes. Lesser known are his love of running on Kansas City’s many trails, experience as a competitive swim official, and possession of a lucky tie. His approach to providing innovative, high-quality public architecture, from local recreation centers to federal courthouses, is evident in his definition of initiative as simply “noticing what needs to be done, and then doing it.”
